These changes were attenuated in hippocampal tissue prepared Aβ-treated rats which received atorvastatin (ATV; 5 mg/kg per day) for 3 weeks (ATV; ^#p < 0.05; ^###p < 0.001; vs Aβ-treated rats which did not receive atorvastatin; ANOVA).
